Description

An ominous dark fog has engulfed the world of Trip Space, unleashing endless hordes of Creepers from the shadows! Only you can stand against the tide. Build powerful contraptions, save cute creatures, and stomp on Creeper heads, whatever it takes to claim Victory.

Players must explore, plan, and meticulously construct their base during the Build Phase. Then, execute, adapt, and ruthlessly brawl with hordes of Creepers during the Action Phase. Every level is a thrilling test of strategy and skill.

Tempest Tower is packed with crazy contraptions! Trigger spike traps to obliterate Creepers en masse, and deploy shield bubbles that bounce damage back at foes, there are countless creative tools available to dominate the battlefield.

History

Tempest Tower has been in production since January 2024. The game will be released via Early Access as Half Past Yellow's first self-published title in the first half of 2025. Tempest Tower aims to bring the much-loved game feel and bouncy animation style found in Time on Frog Island to a completely new genre.

After Half Past Yellow's struggles to find a publisher for their First-Person Puzzler, Spectacle, they decided to make a radical shift in direction. The studio directed their resources to a totally new project that they could self-publish in a reasonable time frame. Half Past Yellow have focused in on what they do best, a genre mash-up with a charming art style and great game feel.

Half Past Yellow is an independent game development studio, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, founded and run by a group of close friends over their shared love of the high-pressure experimental environment of game jams. With many years of combined experience in the industry, the members of Half Past Yellow have worked extensively with other studios on contemporary titles across several different platforms such as Affordable Space Adventures (WiiU, 2015), Frantics (PS4, 2018), and Mutazione (Cross-Platform, 2019) among others.
